Civil Site Engineer
About the Role & Mission
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure the use of specified premium materials (Birla cement, TATA steel, Red Bricks, M15/M20 mixes) and conduct regular quality checks, inspections, and tests
- Implement safety protocols and ensure adherence to local authority, municipal standards, and building codes
- Coordinate with design, structural, electrical, plumbing, and finishing teams for seamless execution
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, municipal authorities, and update project managers and clients regularly
- Maintain accurate daily logs on manpower, materials, equipment usage, and site conditions
- Report deviations, delays, or issues promptly and oversee corrective measures
- Facilitate and coordinate internal and external site inspections; secure timely approvals from civic authorities
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2–5 years of on-site civil engineering experience, preferably in residential construction projects
- Proficiency in RCC work, plastering, brickwork, flooring, finishing, and ability to read/interprete construction drawings
- Strong knowledge of local authority regulations, building codes, permits, and compliance processes (West Bengal/Durgapur preferred)
- Attention to detail for ensuring construction quality and safety
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Problem-solving mindset to identify and address site challenges proactively
- Strong time management and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
